Product description Designed for enterprise use, the rack-mountable N12910SAS 12-Bay NAS Enclosure from Thecus offers high availability system redundancy along with real-time remote replication and system disaster recovery to ensure important data remains safe and secure. The N12910SAS features 12 SATA III/SAS drive bays making it easy to transfer data to and from the drives quickly, and with advanced RAID support, the drives can be configured to suit nearly any storage need.
Inside the Thecus N12910SAS NAS enclosure, you will find an Intel Skylake Core i3 dual-core processor complete with 16GB DDR4 RAM which is expandable up to 64GB for enhanced system performance. On the outside of the unit are dual RJ45 Ethernet LAN ports offering enhanced network connectivity while the dedicated USB ports make it easy to connect a variety of USB-enabled devices, such as smartphones, digital cameras, and more, directly to the NAS. In addition to external ports, this NAS also comes equipped with a variety of available PCI-e slots to add compatible PCI-e cards, such as a 10G Ethernet adapter, or USB 3.0 adapter to customize connectivity options. - High Availability
- High availability actively keeps your data on two separate, identical NAS devices. If one needs maintenance, the other will dutifully rise to the occasion without as much as a blip in service.
- PLEX Media Center
- The free PLEX server is a module available on the Thecus App Center that allows you to set up and manage your media. With the Plex Media Server installed on your Thecus NAS, various devices on your network (such as your Xbox 360 and mobile devices) can connect to and stream your local and online media.
- Snapshot Backup
- With Btrfs support, Thecus NAS users can enjoy the simplicity of snapshot backups. Through Btrfs sub-volumes, snapshots of data at various time points can be manually or automatically made and just as easily later restored to rollback files or folders to previous states.
- Disk Clone and Wipe
- Disk Clone allows users to copy the entire contents of a disk to one or many other disks while Disk Wipe allows for permanent volume data destruction.
- VPN Server
- A VPN Server allows users to remotely access a secure network. With VPNs, businesses will be able to utilize a cost-effective, scalable, and secured network infrastructure for its client base.
