Product description The 8-Channel HD-SDI Broadcast Encoder with IPTV Streamer from Thor converts eight channels of HD-SDI content input to ASI and IP outputs. Each of the eight encoders can be independently configured for bit rate and PID management. The encoder supports bit rates up to 19 Mb/s per channel. With high-level H.264 codec-based encoding, it is suitable for reducing the rack space required for HD program encoding for content source origination and distribution.
All the encoded programs are multiplexed to multi-program transport stream (MPTS) outputs on both ASI and IP. Additionally, single program transport stream (SPTS) outputs are provided for all inputs on the IP network output. All settings are available via the front panel as well as a web-based network management system. This encoder also provides a 1-channel ASI input that can multiplex one additional program to the outputs from an ASI source. - Real-time H.264 hardware encoder with eight HD-SDI inputs
