Product description Designed with filmmakers in mind, this 4 x 5.65" Black Glimmerglass Diffusion Filter from Tiffen features a density of 1/4 for an understated effect. It is designed to subtly soften the image and lower detail resolution, being often sought after by videographers who want to simulate the look of film footage while shooting on digital gear. The filter is made of water white glass and can be mounted on compatible square filter holders. This black Glimmerglass model gives a muted, washed out look to bright colors and reduces contrast due to its white halation effect. It can smooth out unwanted blemishes, wrinkles, or other fine details in a subject's face while keeping the general image in focus, suiting it well for portraiture work.
