Product description The +7 and +10 Tiffen 43mm Close-Up Lens Set includes two close-up lenses for use in achieving macro results with a camera lens they can be paired with. Close-up lenses, also described as close-up filters, are essentially magnifying glasses that can be placed over a lens in order to optically reduce the minimum focus distance. This creates an effect similar to using an extension tube. The relative strengths of close-up lenses are measured in terms of "diopters." The greater the diopter number, the greater the magnification they can provide. The filters can be combined together for a stronger effect or to fine tune the close-up results.
These filters are each constructed from premium ColorCore glass for optical clarity and feature an aluminum filter ring with rear and front threads so they can be used in combination with each other or with other filters. - These filters optically decrease the focal length of a lens while increasing the extension distance, providing macro results
