Product description The 49mm Deluxe 3 Video Intro Filter Kit from Tiffen makes it easy and convenient for students or professionals working in the video industry. The kit comes with three basic, but necessary filters for video. The UV protector is designed to keep moisture and dirt out of the front element of your lens. This filter also removes UV haze when you are shooting at higher altitudes and it is recommended to leave this filter on at all times. The Neutral Density .6 filter is an important filter to have because it reduces the amount of light coming into the lens by two stops. The ND filter also allows the video camera to shoot at wider apertures and not overexposing the scene; in addition to, getting a shallower depth of field in the shot. Unlike digital cameras film cannot white balance under fluorescent lights, but the FL-D Filter does provide that solution. By not correcting the film for that type of lighting it will capture the green cast fluorescent lighting gives off. Using the filter will render true-to-life colors and pleasing skin tones on people. Tiffen filters are created by using the ColorCore Process, which permanently laminates the filter material between two pieces of optical glass. The optical glass is grounded and polished flat; therefore, the filter material between the glass is never affected. The finished product is finally mounted into an aluminum ring. - 49mm UV Protector Filter The Tiffen 49mm UV Protector Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. This filter is especially useful when photographing at high altitudes or around bodies of water. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting to precision metal rings. - Absorbs some ultraviolet light and reduces bluish cast of daylight.

Its 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

UPC: 049383026351 - 49mm FL-D Fluorescent Glass Filter for Daylight Film A Tiffen 49mm FL-D Filter is used when you wish to correct for the greenish tone that appears when shooting daylight film under general purpose fluorescent lighting. NOTE: The FL series of filters alone does not always guarantee 100% correct color balance when shooting under fluorescent lighting. They are general purpose filters intended for moderate correction and will not, by themselves, necessarily provide perfect color rendition. An FL-W filter is used to balance daylight film under warm white or white type fluorescent lamps. An FL-B filter is used to correct the color balance when shooting tungsten film under fluorescent lighting. Fluorescent lamps burn at many different temperatures and often require more demanding filtration for exact results. For specific filtration and professional use, it is strongly recommended that a color temperature meter be employed along with Color Correction filters (i.e.CC30M) when shooting under fluorescent lighting. This is the only proven way to achieve exact color correction.
