Product description New TP-Link Archer Series Home Networking Devices Read More Eliminate the need to purchase a cable modem and router separately with the Archer CR500 AC1200 Wireless Dual Band DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem & Router from TP-Link. This DOCSIS 3.0 compatible modem features a single coax input allowing you to connect the Archer CR500 directly to your incoming cable line. Once connected the modem/router does the rest and you can begin routing your connection via four Gigabit Ethernet ports or wirelessly over both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies.
In addition to the four Gigabit Ethernet ports on the back of the device, you will also find dual USB ports allowing you to plug in devices such as thumb drives and external hard drives making it easy to share your files with users throughout the network. You can even share files remotely over an FTP connection.
Along with support for dual-band networking, the Archer CR500 supports the 802.11ac Wi-Fi networking standard for an ultra fast wireless network connection. With a maximum data throughput of up to 1200 Mbps you can stream HD content, game online, transfer large files, and more. Additionally, TP-Link has incorporated beamforming technology into this modem/router which provides a more focused and concentrated connection directly to your wireless devices. As a result you benefit from a more reliable, stable connection. - ISP Compatibility
- The ARCHER CR500 comes compatible with the following cable providers including XFINITY from Comcast, Sepctrum, and more.
Please see manufacturer website for list of additional ISP compatibility information - Enhanced Networking Functionality
- Your smart devices can perform to their full potential by taking advantage of enhanced networking standards. Utilizing the DOCSIS 3.0 modem protocol and 802.11ac wireless technology you benefit from both enhanced cable download speeds and gigabit Wi-Fi speeds.
- Combine Your Cable Modem and Wi-Fi Router
- Free up space by combining your cable modem and Wi-Fi router into a single compact, elegantly designed device.
- Web Management Features
- Parental and Access Control features from the web management page grant you the ability to safeguard your network, restricting who can join and what content users may access while on it.
- USB Ports
- Two USB ports make storing, accessing, and sharing data simple by allowing multiple USB devices to connect to the modem router at the same time without the need for a separate USB hub. You can access USB devices connected to the modem router through your network or remotely using FTP technology. This allows you to download or stream media from flash and hard drives, including music, photos, and movies, as well as share printers across your network.
- Enhanced Wi-Fi Functionality
- The CR500 creates a strong Wi-Fi network throughout the home-upstairs, downstairs, and even outside. High powered amplifiers boost its wireless signal, a speedy processor handles bandwidth-intensive tasks, and its large amount of memory helps minimize lag and data buffering losses. The modem router is also equipped with beamforming technology, which increases its range by allowing it to focus independent signals towards devices rather than simply broadcasting in all directions.
