The ESD400 is small enough to fit into a shirt pocket as it has the same width and height as a playing card and is 0.4" thick. Compared to hard drives, the SSD's solid-state parts allow it to run coolly and silently, and allow it to withstand shocks and vibrations. Its USB 3.0 port can transfer data up to 10 times the bandwidth of USB 2.0. Because the drive supports USB Attached SCSI Protocol, you can expect read and write speeds of up to 410MB/s and 380MB/s, respectively.
A free download of the Transcend Elite data software makes it easy to keep important files organized, protected, and up-to-date. After you install the software, pressing the button located on top of the ESD400 allows you to instantly back up and synchronize data on your Windows or Mac computer.
