Product description Transform your Type 2242, Type 2260, or Type 2280 M.2 SATA SSD into a portable USB 3.0 Type-C external drive using the CM80 M.2 SSD Enclosure Kit from Transcend. This enclosure has been built using lightweight aluminum, making it both durable and portable, and an integrated LED indicator lets you know when there is drive activity. Additionally, the USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP) helps boost traditional USB 3.0 transfer speeds when used with a UASP-enabled host system, and power is provided via the USB bus. Although the CM80 M.2 SSD Enclosure Kit utilizes a USB Type-C port, a USB Type-C to Type-A cable is included, meaning that other USB cables, such as a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, will need to be purchased separately. Also included is an M.2 adapter, a metal plate, an aluminum sticker, a screwdriver, a copper nut, and three mounting screws.
The M.2 SSD Enclosure Kit only supports M.2 SATA SSDs and is not compatible with M.2 PCIe SSDs. General Features - Pocketable Design
- Transcend's M.2 SSD enclosure features a lightweight aluminum construction, making it both portable and durable while you are on the move. An LED indicator lets you know when the drive is in use.
- USB Type-A and Type-C Supported
- To accommodate devices with different USB ports, the M.2 SSD enclosure has been built with a USB Type-C port and includes a USB Type-C to Type-A cable. Users will need to provide their own adapter or compatible cable to attach the M.2 SSD enclosure to USB Type-C devices.
- Enhanced Performance with UASP
- The M.2 SSD enclosure uses a USB 3.0 interface incorporated with UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) that makes transfer speeds faster than with a sole USB 3.0 interface when used with a UASP-enabled host computer.
- Form Factor
- This enclosure supports Type 2242, Type 2260, and Type 2280 M.2 SATA SSDs.
