Product description The Travel Smart by Conair Adapter Plug For North / South America (2-Prong US Plug) allows 2-prong ungrounded power supplies within North / South America, the Caribbean and Japan to be used in the United States. Simply insert the 2-prong foreign power plug into the back of the adapter. Then, insert the adapter's front end, a 2-prong US plug, into a standard US wall or power strip outlet. The adapter is designed for use with dual voltage appliances or voltage converters. It does not convert electrical voltage on its own; a voltage converter or transformer for single-voltage appliances (sold separately) is required for this purpose.
