Product description The 24-Port Gigabit Web Smart Switch with 2 Shared Mini-GBIC Slots (Version C2.0R) from TRENDnet is a Gigabit Ethernet switch, designed for use as part of a Local Area Network (LAN). The switch features 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports, and 2 Mini-GBIC slots for uplink expansion module installation. Compatible with all standard Ethernet protocols, the switch can be used to create networks to which computers of any operating system can connect. - 24 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports, each featuring Auto-MDIX negotiation
- The 2 1000Base-SX/LX Mini-GBIC slots are shared with the last 2 numbered Gigabit ports, and can be used to install fiber uplink modules that use the standard Mini-GBIC form factor
- 48Gbps switching capability
- IEEE 802.3x Full Duplex Flow Control and Back Pressure incorporates DIX framing, eliminating the need for a DIX/802.3 split
- IEEE 802.3ad Port Trunk aggregates parallel links for fast communication
- IEEE 802.1D Spanning Tree Protocol ensures a loop-free topology for any bridged LAN
- IEEE 802.1p QoS prioritizes traffic so that data that needs a constant link, such as VoIP and videoconferencing, takes precedence over traffic that does not
- IEEE 802.1X authentication supports port-based access control, and SNMP v1 supports basic network management
- Supports the port-based IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tag and asymmetric VLANs, perfect for creating virtual LANs
- Utilizes the store-and-forward switching method
- Front panel LEDs give indication of network status and activity
- Can handle Jumbo Frame packets, up to 9KB in size
- Integrated address look-up engine sports up to 8K absolute MAC addresses
- Boasts 512KB of data buffering RAM
