Product description The Home Smart Switch with Wireless Extender from Trendnet is a combination smart electrical outlet and N300 wireless extender. Combined with its free Apple or Android mobile app, users may take advantage of the smart switch aspect of this device to use their Internet connection to turn lights, fans, electronic devices, appliances, and more on or off. It is also possible to create daily schedules to turn specific outlets on or off to match specific needs, or to create an illusion that you're at home. As for the wireless extender capabilities of this device, simply place this device in an area of your home with a weak wireless signal and the built-in N300 wireless extender will connect to your existing Wi-Fi network and broadcast a strong signal.
The Trendnet Home Smart Switch with Wireless Extender supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi on frequencies of 2.412 - 2.484 GHz. It also supports wireless channels 1-11 with FCC and 1-13 with ETSI, as well as WEP and WPA/WPA2-PSK encryption. It operates on 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz and consumes a maximum amount of 6W.
