Product description The D20 Stereo Rackmountable Preamp from Triton Audio is a dual microphone preamp suitable for a wide swath of instrument signals, from guitars to vocals to drum overheads. Its construction consists of Lundahl 1571 transformers followed by two gain stages on each channel, the second of which is switchable between FET or Tube modes. A discrete low-impedance FET buffer on each channel powers the output drive, while a low-ESR voltage regulator ensures the amplifier circuit operates without unwanted noise.
This preamp also boasts input-impedance selectors, which affect the overall sonic characteristics of the signal passing through. This parameter, in concert with the ability to switch between Tube mode and FET mode, fosters creative options in sculpting colorful tones on the way in. Furthermore, this unit supports 48V phantom power on both channels and sports a built-in power supply.
