Product description The Truetone Route 66 Overdrive and Compression Pedal combines two distinct pedal effects into a single enclosure. Plugging in your guitar or bass to the overdrive input and the compressor output is the standard signal flow. However, the pedal offers both inputs and outputs for both effects and can be rewired or used separately. The overdrive is based on Bob Weil & Joe Naylor's classic Reverend Drivetrain, which offers Voice switching for dynamic performance to vary the tone from bright and open to a more saturated and gritty sound. The compressor is immediate, transparent, and smooth allowing you to achieve huge, clean, sustain notes that haven't lost their attack. Both effects offer clean mix knobs that allow you to dial in the perfect blend of original and blended tones for parallel processing. The pedal is best driven by an optional 9 VDC power supply, but can also operate from a 9V battery. The Truetone Route 66 ships with a velvet storage bag. -
- Each channel can be set to either True Bypass mode or buffered via internal switches. The buffered mode utilizes Truetone’s Pure Tone circuit.
- Features the custom designed Forever Footswitch rated for 10 million hits. This interacts with relays having gold-plated contacts.
- Limited Lifetime Warranty (even for second or third owners)
- Small, pedal board friendly size, with front mounted jacks. Smaller footprint than two standard-sized pedals
- Comes in a black velvet bag inside the package box
- The Route 66 V3 is truly 2 pedals in 1 housing
- For basic setup, use the Compressor input and the Overdrive output. You may also change the order of effects by plugging your guitar or bass into the OD input, use a short cable from the OD output to the Comp input, and then go out from the Comp output. For anything other than the basic setup, just think of Route 66 as 2 pedals
- By removing the 4 screws and the bottom cover, you can see 2 slide switches. Use these to choose True Bypass or our Pure Tone buffered bypass for each channel
