Product description The CL 2A is a two channel version of the CL 1B optical compressor with an all tube based output amplifier. The unit contains unique low distortion gain-reduction elements, and the inputs and outputs are balanced and are fully floating. The optical gain reduction element is positioned immediately after the input transformer, and is followed by an all tube-based amplifier, with a gain of +10dB. The power supply and side-chain circuit on the CL 2A is based on a solid state circuit. All DC voltages are stabilized except the anode voltage for the output stage. A switch with three positions is used when the two channels are used in stereo mode, or if several compressors are linked together. The two link busses are identical. Both input and output of the CL 2A have balanced and fully floating transformers with a static screen. - Dual channel opto compressor
