Product description The MP2A from TUBE-TECH is a professional two-channel microphone preamplifier and direct instrument amplifier designed to deliver a clear, pristine signal good enough for demanding studio recordings. The input channel provides switchable +48V phantom power, selectable microphone impedance of 600/1200/2400 ohms, phase reverse switch, low-cut filter (20 Hz/40 Hz/off), as well as a switchable -20 dB pad. Gain is adjustable from -10 to +70 dB (10 dB steps, coarse/+2 dB steps, fine). The direct instrument inputs are unbalanced with a gain ranging from 0 to + 60 dB and the amplifier is all tube. The input transformer is enclosed in an MU-metal can to provide shielding, and input and output transformers come with a static screen between the primary and secondary wirings. The balanced input and output are also fully floating. The MP2A continues the TUBE-TECH tradition of good sounding DIs and mic preamplifiers, and offer even higher fidelity and headroom with a few updated features. - All-tube based featuring push-pull output amplifier
- Frequency response @ -3 dB is 5 Hz to 60 kHz
- Gain from -10 to +70 dB in 2 dB increments and DI gain is 0 to 60 dB
- Microphone input impedance selectable between 600/100/2400 ohms
- Features a selectable pad in front of input transformer (-20 dB)
- Selectable +48V phantom power
- Overload indication (red LED) lights up when the output level exceeds approximately +26 dBu
- Direct instrument jack-socket input for various instruments
