Product description The black Athens TCS115B-R 15" Front-Loaded Weather-Resistant Subwoofer from Turbosound is designed for a wide range of fixed installation and portable PA applications. It provides optimal low frequency reinforcement when used in conjunction with all TCS series loudspeakers. This IP54-rated weather-resistant subwoofer is suitable for outdoor use. The subwoofer features an enclosure with a bass reflex port and a double suspension 15" low frequency driver that utilizes a specialized voice coil wound on both inside and outside of the coil former. This results in higher magnetic density, better heat dissipation, higher power handling capacity, and improved efficiency. The Athens TCS115B-R provides fast and accurate transient response for virtually distortion-free operation even in the most demanding applications. The subwoofer's cabinet is constructed from 5/8" (15mm) birch plywood and includes a rugged powder coated perforated steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. Multiple internal rigging points allow bracket mount and suspension in many different configurations in permanent installations. An array of two or more cabinets can be configured using Turbosound fly plates and coupler kits (sold separately). Connectivity is provided in the form of a captive cable tail, which enters the cabinet by means of a sealed cable gland on an aluminum panel. - Front-loaded subwoofer for installation applications
