Product description The Nucleus 3 is part of Ultimate Support's Nucleus Series of modular workstations, giving you an expandable workspace that grows right alongside your home-studio setup. As such, it’s ideal for pro-audio denizens looking for a centerpiece desk they don’t have to replace, but rather, can outfit as they amass more and better gear. In addition to the primary work surface—which is suitable for supporting gear such as studio monitors and host sequencers/computers—the Nucleus 3 comes with a 2nd tier, on which you could place your monitors, speakers, or anything else that might fit. A sturdy keyboard tray has also been provided, giving you a home for your typing keyboard or a small to medium-sized MIDI controller. This model features a 12 RU rack as well, giving you enough real-estate for up to 12 conventional rackmount units, 24 half-rack units, or three Manley Massive Passives.The desk features 24” extensions, as well as legs which have been constructed to bolster sonic isolation and decoupling. Channels in the legs not only help with decoupling, but also aid in weight management. The desk is constructed out of powder-coated medium-density fiberboard.
