Product description This PatrolIR Pro from FLIR is a stationary-mount thermal imaging camera that is combined with a daytime camera system. Designed for use on law enforcement vehicles., the PatrolIR Pro features a pan-tilt system, a color daylight Sony video camera, and a powerful thermal camera with a 35mm lens. The thermal system is capable of 2x digital zoom - it can detect a 6.0' human at distances beyond 1000 yd/914 m. The PatrolIR Pro offers many connection and integration options - it integrates easily into existing CCTV infrastructures for 24/7/365 detection and visibility capability. It can be installed as a stand-alone option, or networked into a hybrid configuration for local and network operations. The PatrolIR can also be connected directly the optional joystick/display unit - this device provides complete control of the entire system, and it displays video on an integrated 6.4" TFT screen. Connecting the PatrolIR via RS-232/422 connections to a control panel enables the use of standard PelcoD commands for PTZ functions. Two video cables can be connected to any existing multi-function display that accepts composite video inputs. The included Nexus program is a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) - this software simplifies the operation of the camera's functions and capabilities considerably. Thermal imagers can see through obscurants and total darkness; where other viewing systems fail, thermal imaging delivers the ability to see and record what is invisible to the human eye. Thermal imagers read heat to produce vivid high-contrast images, even when hidden by fog, smoke, steam, or total darkness conditions. This makes thermal imaging ideal for in-plant surveillance, perimeter monitoring, and high-value asset protection. When you need to establish positive identification, facial recognition, or situational awareness - thermal imaging is the way to go. This PatrolIR Pro package includes the Nexus software that allows the system to be integrated into existing IP networks.
