Product description The Stream Web Programmable HD IP/Network Camera with Battery from V.I.O. combines the take-anywhere ruggedness of an IP67-rated action camera with the streaming functionality of a professional IP encoder. It streams up to 1080p resolution using H.264 encoding and the widely-supported RTSP protocol, and in addition can record internally on a microSDHC memory card up to 32GB in size. It features a 142-degree ultra-wide lens to help give footage an immersive POV feel, and uses a 1/2.7" Full HD CMOS sensor combined with an f/2.0 aperture, which together are designed to adapt to poorly- and well-lit situations alike. Distinguishing it from the USB-powered 401 model, the 402 features a battery end cap, an IP67-rated external battery housing, plus a battery lasting up to 2.5 hours.
A Wi-Fi connection allows the camera to connect wirelessly to a network for streaming, or directly to another Wi-Fi enabled device such as a smartphone using an "ad hoc" connection. To get you started mounting it, a camera clamp and 1/4"-20 tripod adapter are included. In addition, the Stream is compatible with a range of separately available mounting solutions, so that it can be adapted for use in nearly any scenario - on a board, attached to a car, helmet mounted, on a boat - just about anything you can imagine. - Ultra-Wide 142-Degree Field of View
- In its HD settings the camera features an ultra-wide 142-degree field of view to help capture as much of what's happening in front of the lens as possible, as well as give the footage a POV feel
- Water-Resistant and Dustproof Under IP67
- The camera can be used safely in dusty environments and can be submerged up to 3.3' for a brief period of time (less than 30 minutes). This makes it ideal for situations where an IP camera with the ruggedness of an action camera is required
- Wi-Fi Enabled
- In addition to USB streaming, the camera features Wi-Fi allowing it to connect wirelessly to a network. Thanks to efficient H.264 encoding and RTSP streaming protocol support, the camera can stream HD over either USB or Wi-Fi
- Open API
- Camera functionality can be tailored for custom applications using the API (application programming interface). In addition, XML support means the camera can be configured by editing an XML document associated with it. Settings include:
- Resolution for sensor, streaming, recording, and still pictures
- Record
- Sharpening
- Noise filter
- Exposure metering
- Exposure compensation, format
- Set microphone level
- Set alert volume
- Set recording methods
- Date/time overlay
- Update firmware
- Restore default settings
- Power Down
- Set bit rate/image quality
- Wi-Fi configuration
- Full HD RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) Streaming
- The camera streams using the RTSP protocol, which is used by many CDN (content delivery network) services and is supported by a wide range of media players, including RealPlayer, Winamp, QuickTime, FFmpeg, and more. It is able to stream at up to Full HD (1080p) resolution in the efficient H.264 codec with audio encoded in ACC
- Web Programmable
- A Web user interface means camera setting can be adjusted using most Web browsers from a device connected to the same network as the camera
- USB Adaptable
- The POV402 includes the battery end cap. However, USB hard-wiring of the camera is possible using a separately available USB end cap. Via USB you can stream video as well as power the camera - cable runs of up to 16.4' are supported
