Product description Extend USB 3.1 Gen 1 signals beyond the standard 9.8' cable limit for peripheral devices, such as a camera or other AV source, with the USB 3 Extenders from Vaddio. The extender system is made up of a Local Extender and a Remote Extender, which allow for an extension of up to 328' when directly connected over a Cat 6a/7 cable. USB 3.1 Gen 1 data rates of up to 5 Gb/s are supported, although 480 Mb/s USB 2.0 and 12 Mb/s USB 1.1 are also supported. Up to four remote devices are simultaneously supported at full bandwidth, and devices are connected via plug-and-play, meaning that no additional software or drivers are required.
Vaddio's USB 3 Extenders are compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, and Chrome, and support 100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet and LAN passthrough. The Extender also provides up to 1.2A / 6W to each USB port. Aside from the Local & Remote Extenders, a 6' USB 3.1 Gen 1 cable and power supplies are also included. General Features - Up to 328' / 100m of extension when directly connected over a CAT 6a/7 cable
