Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More The Vanguard 10x42 Spirit XF Binocular, in black, is designed for avid outdoor enthusiasts and hunters who require an optic that can perform in the harshest conditions and survive a life on the trail. Its 10x magnification enables detailed observations from long distances, while the 42mm objectives draw in copious amounts of light for use in low-light conditions without being overly bulky or heavy like larger-objective binoculars. Complementing the power and objectives are phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms and emerald-green fully multi-coated optics that improve light transmission, color rendition, and contrast. All these features, when combined with a wide field of view, provide an immersive observational experience with high-contrast images and accurate color representation. To stand up to the rigors of the trail, the chassis is made of a lightweight and impact-resistant magnesium alloy wrapped in black rubber armoring that not only protects the optics from drops and impacts, but provides a slip-resistant grip. An open-bridge/dual-hinge configuration helps to reduce weight without sacrificing strength while increasing the gripping surface for improved stability and comfort. The optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to make them fog and waterproof in even the harshest conditions. Twist-up eyecups enable easy use with or without eyewear and are made to stay in place without shifting during a climb to the blind, and the binocular is tripod mountable with an optional adapter to reduce fatigue during a long day of glassing. - Optical Performance
