Product description The Compact Zoom and Focus Control Kit for Fujinon Lenses is a bundle from VariZoom that combines the VZROCKF zoom rocker and the VZFCF manual focus control. This system is ideal for tripod and pedestal shooting where the tripod head has two pan handles attached. It can also be adapted to jib setups and other scenario where the camera cannot be directly accessed. When used on a tripod, the zoom rocker is attached to one handle and the focus control to the other. Both parts will clamp to handles or other tubes up to 1.3" in diameter, and both feature 40" cables. The controllers are both compatible with select 8-pin Fujinon lenses.
The VZROCKF is a pressure-sensitive zoom rocker. The more pressure you apply the faster the lens will zoom in or out. Plus there is a speed-limiter knob for those times when you want to zoom at a constant speed, but still feather in and out. In addition to the zoom rocker, there is a record START/STOP button and video return button that plays back the last five seconds of recorded material and cues the tape up to the last recorded frame to ensure proper time code sync.
The VZFCF is a twist-style, cable-driven mechanical focus control. The focus handle features an articulated swivel clamp for angular position adjustment, and connects to a 40" cable. To receive the cable, there is gear box that attaches to the lens, and is compatible with select Fujinon lenses. The handle and cable assembly are universal, meaning you can simply swap out the gear box for a different one (available separately) to use the focus controller with other lenses.
