Product description The VZM5 Monitor Deluxe Kit from VariZoom features the VZM5 5" HDMI on-camera monitor and a variety of power and operation accessories.
The kit includes an L-Series battery plate and 6600mAh high-capacity L-Series battery, as well as a portable charger and an AC adapter for continuous in-studio power. Two HDMI cables are supplied along with two HDMI safety locks for securing the cables from accidental pullouts. A zoom button remote is also included that allows you to access Pixel-to-Pixel and Peaking modes remotely for more accurate focusing. You also get a sunhood for outdoor shots, swivel shoe camera mount, and a soft carrying case that will fit the monitor and many of the accessories.
The VZM5 is an easy-to-use monitor with an HDMI input and output. The monitor has a native resolution of 800 x 480 and supports input signals of up to Full HD 1080p, which get downscaled to 800 x 480. It has a sharp 800:1 contrast ratio and 500 cd/m² brightness. The brightness is high enough for confident monitoring in most outdoor scenarios when the sunhood is attached.
On the side of the monitor is a 3.5mm input jack built in to support the included zoom button remote control. This remote control can be attached on your tripod pan handle and pretty much anywhere else. One press of the "zoom" button on the remote control activates Pixel-to-Pixel mode on the monitor. This feature magnifies an area of the image and allows you to move to other areas so you can see the image in more detail for more accurate focusing. A second press of the zoom button takes you to Peaking mode where white outlines around objects in your image provide for additional focusing accuracy.
The VZM5 offers a headphone jack for audio monitoring, and has 1/4"-20 threaded mounting holes on the top and bottom. - Kit Contents
