Product description VariZoom's Wired Electronic Focus Control for Canon, Fujinon, and Cine Lenses mounts on either 15 or 19mm rods and allows you to remotely pull focus with virtually any lens with Canon, Fujinon, or cine-style lens gears. Suitable for use with cameras on various moving camera platforms including remote heads, jib arms, and dollies. It features a focus knob and an LCD info screen for setup and control. It is a powered focus control unit, which can be used for focus, iris, or zoom by directly driving a geared lens ring.
The included adjustable cine-style gear lens gear can mount onto a lens without a lens gear to enable focus pulling. Likewise, the included 0.6 MOD lens gear can be used on select Sony camcorders. The included interchangeable motor drive gears are compatible with Canon, Fujinon, and cine-style focus gears. Also included is a 0.8 MOD gear (32 DP) and a fourth gear (64 DP) for pulling the iris. The unit requires manual calibration, and this allows you to set five programmable focus points to rapidly change focus between five points bypassing the focus knob. - This wired controller features a built-in focus wheel and LCD readout screen.
- Designed to work with Canon, Fujinon, and cine-style geared lenses, the motor bracket mounts on 15 or 19mm rods. To mount the motor bracket on a 15mm rod support requires using the included 19 to 15mm adapter bushing. The lens attachment bracket incorporates a reversible component allowing you to attach the bracket to small or large lenses.
- If your choice of lens does not incorporate a focus gear, you can mount the adjustable 0.8 MOD lens gear for motor driven focus control.
- If you are shooting with a Sony PXW-200/PMW-300/200/EX1/EX3, the fixed 0.6 focus ring is a match for your camera's integrated lens.
- An optional AC to DC power supply is available from VariZoom. Do not power the unit from a battery and power supply simultaneously as this may result in damage to your unit.
