Product description The Geo N830 Tripod from Velbon is a solid carbon fiber support that can hold most cameras and lenses under 30.86 lb. Lightweight at 7.3 lb g, this tripod can reach heights up to 78.7" and shrink as low as 13.8" — providing a wide range of creative possibilities. The 3-section telescoping legs collapse into themselves and can be secured with twist locks. This brings the tripod's folded length to a convenient size of 32.2" tall.A removable, two-part center column has a hook at the bottom that can be used for additional stability when operating at an extreme height with heavy gear or in adverse conditions. - Removeable Center Column
- The center column of the GEO N830 can be removed to achieve the tripod's minimum height of 13.8". The column also has a hook attached, which can provide additional stability to the tripod.
- Construction
- The carbon fiber legs of the Geo-series tripods have been strengthened by the addition of a small quantity of basalt, offering greater resistance and rigidity for bending and crushing forces. Additionally, the tripod components and furniture are constructed of magnesium alloy.
