Product description Time-Lapse Tips and Tools Read More The Sub-65 Sub Series Tripod with Hide Clamp II from Velbon is a 5.7 lb aluminum support that has a load capacity of 9.9 lb. The fluid head itself has a single-locking knob that controls the movement of the 360° pan and the back-and-forth movement of the tilt. The pan handle can switch to either side of the head to accommodate left- or right-handed users, and the included QB-46 Quick Release Plate can attach to the head in multiple directions. At its lowest position, the tripod has a height of 18.1", but by extending the legs' 4 sections and center column, it can reach a maximum height of 63.4". To transport the tripod, it folds down to a compact 21.1". Sometimes, tripods cannot travel to certain areas because of restrictions, but the Sub-65's center column is removable and converts into a monopod with a maximum height of 64.6" and a collapsed length of 17.7". The monopod can sustain cameras up to 6.1 lb, and the Hide Clamp II is used to adjust its height on the leg. Furthermore, the clamp also allows you to attach the monopod to the edge of a table, pipe, or railing.
