Product description has put together this Vello Accessory Kit for the Nikon D5500 Accessory Kit to give photographers the ability to focus and trigger their camera remotely and wirelessly. The kit contains a battery grip for the D5500, a lithium-ion battery pack, LCD screen protector, FreeWave Plus Wireless Shutter Release for Nikon, and a cap keeper. Vello Battery Grip The BG-N16 Battery Grip from Vello is designed specifically for the Nikon D5500 DSLR camera and accepts one or two EN-EL14 or EN-EL14A batteries. With two batteries installed, your shooting time is effectively doubled. More so, when one battery is drained, it can be removed and recharged while you continue shooting with the other battery. An on/off switch has also been added to the BG-N16 to disable the grip's built-in vertical shutter release button, which prevents users from accidentally triggering the shutter when photographing in the landscape orientation. The design of a battery grip offers a comfortable and secure way in which to hold your DSLR, especially in the vertical position. The BG-N16 comes with an alternate shutter release button to facilitate shooting when held vertically. In addition, it is designed with an anti-slip rubber grip to further improve handling, a tripod socket to mount your camera directly to a tripod, and a holder for the camera's battery door so as not to lose it when the battery grip is installed. Li-Ion Battery The Watson EN-EL14A Lithium-Ion Battery Pack works with the same cameras as the Nikon EN-EL14A. This replacement battery pack features a capacity of 1150mAh, 7.2V of output power, and 8.28 watt-hours. Small and lightweight, lithium-ion batteries can be charged or discharged at any time without developing memory effect. Screen Protector The Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector is a sheet of 0.02" (0.5mm) ultra-thin optical glass used to protect your camera's LCD monitor. The glass features 6 layers of material that protect your display screen from dirt, scratches, sweat and oily fingerprints. The glass also blocks UV rays while allowing visible light in. The protector is easy to install and remove. FreeWave Wireless Remote Shutter Release Trigger your camera's shutter wirelessly with the FreeWave Plus Wireless Remote Shutter Release from Vello, a lightweight remote control system that will help you avoid unwanted camera movement. This 2.4 GHz model is compatible with Nikon cameras and will work both wired and wirelessly up to 320', depending on your own needs and setup. This makes it useful for photographing wildlife or for macro and long exposures where it is necessary to eliminate any chance of camera shake. The FreeWave system also has access to 16 channels for triggering multiple receivers and has an internal antenna that's protected from any accidental damage. Multiple features are available for shooting, such as a four-second delay as well as multi-exposure and long exposure modes. The device also has a dual function release, enabling focus on half press and triggering the shutter release on a full press. Additionally, it has LED indicators to confirm pre-focus and exposure while in wireless mode. The receiver and transmitter each run on two AAA batteries. Cap Keeper The Cap Keeper Plus Lens Cap Holder from Sensei prevents the loss of lens caps. An adhesive-backed disc secures the lens cap to the elastic leash which wraps around the lens barrel. With the lens cap removed from the lens while shooting, it hangs out of the way but secure and within reach for easy retrieval.
