Product description The Vello BG-C14 Battery Grip is designed for use with a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera. It can accommodate up to two LP-E6 or LP-E6N batteries, allowing you to effectively double your shooting time. Additionally, it provides improved handling and control while the camera is used in the portrait orientation.
Installation is easily accomplished by first removing the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR's camera battery chamber cover and fitting the battery grip into the camera. To help ensure that the cover is not misplaced or lost, the BG-C14 battery grip features an integrated battery chamber cover holder. Turning the battery grip's attachment wheel rotates and threads its 1/4"-20 mount directly into the camera's accessory thread, creating a secure and reliable connection.
Vertical position controls along the battery grip include a shutter-release button, an AF area section button, an AF point selection button, an AF start button, an AE lock button, a multi-controller button, a multi-function button, and a main dial. To prevent the camera's shutter from being accidentally released or exposure settings from being unintentionally applied while photographing in the landscape orientation, an on/off switch allows the BG-C14 battery grip's controls to be disabled even while the camera continues to draw power from the installed batteries.
Alternatively, the battery grip can deliver uninterrupted power to a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR with a separately-available Canon ACK-E6 AC Adapter Kit. A built-in outlet along the rear of the BG-C14 battery grip allows it to seamlessly integrate with the ACK-E6 AC adapter kit's DC coupler power cord.
It addition to its non-slip surface, the battery grip's built-in strap eyelet can be used to install a separately-available hand strap to further ensure that a connected camera stays firmly in hand. For direct attachment to accessories such as a tripod head or straps that feature 1/4"-20 mounts, the underside of the BG-C14 battery grip includes a 1/4"-20 female accessory thread. -
