Product description Never on the market before, the Vello BG-C17 Battery Grip for Canon EOS Rebel SL2 is specifically designed for this camera because there was no battery grip available until now. Attaching the grip is done by installing the dummy battery into the camera's battery chamber, which is attached to the grip through the power supply cable, and tightening down the grip against the body via the thumbscrew into the 1/4"-20 tripod socket; a little of the power supply cable is left exposed, but does not interfere with the mounting.The BG-C17 accepts two LP-E17 rechargeable batteries, which doubles the camera's battery life and shooting time. At the same time, the grip offers a comfortable, extended, rubberized non-slip grip, and a shutter release button for vertical use, so you're not shooting with your arm and hand in an awkward position. To get the vertical shutter button on the grip to operate, you must install the shutter release cable that leads from the grip into the camera's remote control port. Additionally, the grip maintains tripod support with the threaded 1/4"-20 socket on the bottom, and a strap mount on the side, so a hand or shoulder strap can securely attach. - The BG-C17 accepts two LP-E17 rechargeable batteries, which doubles the camera's battery life and shooting time
