Product description Extend shooting time and improve vertical orientation ergonomics of your D500 camera with this dedicated BG-N17 Battery Grip from Vello. Able to hold an additional EN-EL15 lithium-ion battery pack, this grip will effectively double the battery life of your D500. It is also compatible with the much higher-capacity EN-EL18c battery, when combined with the optional Nikon BL-5 Battery Chamber Cover. It can even accept eight AA batteries instead for convenience. The grip provides a variety of controls to help with vertical shooting, including a vertical position shutter release, a multi-selector joystick, dual command dials, a quick-access function button, AF-ON button, and a control lock. Easily mounted to the camera via the tripod mount, the grip features its own 1/4"-20 thread for use on a tripod. - Holds one EN-EL15 battery (not included) or eight AA batteries, doubling the battery life and shooting time for the Nikon D500
- Accepts EN-EL18c battery when used with optional Nikon BL-5 replacement battery chamber cover
- Provides comfortable and secure handling when shooting in the vertical position, including a secondary shutter release button, an AF-ON button, quick-access function button, multi-selector joystick, control lock, main command dial and sub-command dial.
- Features anti-slip rubber gripping and a securely locking battery chamber door.
- Provides a space to hold the camera's contact cover to prevent its loss.
