Product description The Shutter Release Cable for BG-N12, BG-N9, BG-N6 & BG-N5 Battery Grips from Vello is a replacement or spare shutter release cable that connects the Vello BG-N16 Battery Grip to the Nikon D5500, the Vello BG-N13 Battery Grip to the Nikon D5300, the Vello BG-N12 Battery Grip to the Nikon D3100, D3200 and D3300, the BG-N9 Battery Grip to the Nikon D3100 and D3200, the BG-N6 Battery Grip to the Nikon D5100 and D5200, and the BG-N5 Battery Grip to the Nikon D3100. The battery grips hold up to two EN-EL14 batteries to supply the camera with extra power and also provide a vertical position shutter button. The shutter release cable connects from the socket on the battery grip to the remote release port on the camera body and transmits the shutter release signal from battery grip to the camera. Having a spare cable in your camera bag is a good idea in case the original, which comes with the grip, is lost while on vacation or assignment.
