Product description Easily convert your BNC cabling into a high-speed RJ45 Ethernet connection with the Highwire Ethernet over Coax Adapter from Veracity. Using the adapter, you can replace analog cameras with IP cameras, while still using your existing cables. This package includes one adapter, however, two adapters per link are required, one connected to your IP camera and one connected to your PoE switch.Speed, duplex, and crossover are sensed as soon as you connect the adapter to your system so that no setup is required. Furthermore, no configuration is required when you connect the unit to each end of the coaxial cable, as the link will be established automatically. The Ethernet over Coax Adapter is invisible to Ethernet data, and it does not need a MAC or IP address. In addition to auto-optimizing for all 75 ohm coaxial cables, the long connection range of the converter makes it suitable for network connections beyond 328' (100m). Featuring a universal power input, the Highwire Ethernet over Coax Adapter is suitable for low-voltage installations and use with legacy coaxial cables. Compared to Cat 5 cables, the coaxial cables coil and bend, enabling you to provide network access to elevator carriages, VoIP items, security systems, lift panels, and similar devices. - Converts analog video cables into a high-speed network connection
