Product description - Videon's 4K HEVC/H.264 Video Encoder - Shavano
Videon Shavano is a portable UHD 4K video encoder and live-stream device featuring HEVC compression, which uses about half the bandwidth of H.264, providing for a practical balance between image quality and file size and allowing for smoother live streams in 4K. H.264 compression is also available for more common applications.
Shavano lets you stream point-to-point on an internal network or over a WAN, multicast on a local network, stream to a decoder on a different network, and stream to a variety of online platforms. It's also enabled for Power-over-Ethernet and is easy to incorporate into a wide range of workflows. - 4K Streaming
- The biggest issues with a 4K video is file size and data rates. The Shavano Encoder solves the issue by compressing 4K video using HEVC compression. The result is a clear 4K video stream that uses less than 50% the bandwidth of H.264.
