Product description Cymbals from the Vienna Symphonic Library is a sample-based virtual instrument featuring various-sized cymbals, the triangle, and the waterphone. Cymbals vary in size with diameters of 16" to 22" and feature various types including ride, crash, splash, and China or sizzle. A pair of cymbals (cymbals a-due) is sounded by striking one against the other, while suspended cymbals are struck with sticks or mallets. They are often used for punctuating highlights or accents in music.
The triangle is played with a short steel rod and can sound more piercing than the cymbal and can easily be heard over the full orchestra. The waterphone is a unique instrument that produces hauntingly ethereal sounds evoking mystery and suspense.
