Product description The Vienna MIR RoomPack 3 - Mystic Spaces from the Vienna Symphonic Library features two breathtaking Austrian churches, the Maria Strassengel Church near Graz and the Steinhofkirche Church at Baumgartner Hohe. Both churches afford spectacular, one-of-a-kind reverb and the Vienna Symphonic Library has captured each church's full potential. The pilgrimage church Maria Strassengel features a relatively small main nave and wonderful acoustics. It supports a dense and surprisingly brief three second reverb time. The Maria Strassengel's nave has been recorded from four microphone positions. The first mic is located near the altar, the second mic is in the middle of the nave, the third mic is near the main entrance beneath the organ gallery, and the fourth mic was positioned about 20' (6m) above mic 3. In all, the Vienna Symphonic Library gathered over 2000 individual impulse responses to accurately recreate the dense reverb in the famous Maria Strassengel Church. The Steinhofkirche Church is known for its truly unique acoustic properties, making it a holy space for musicians and churchgoers alike. It is still used for concerts today. The church produces a long, dense and crystal clear 10 second reverb time that engulfs each person as they enter the nave. It was recorded using three microphone positions. The first mic was located near the altar, the second was placed in the middle of the nave under the cupola, and the third mic was set up near the main entrance next to the organ gallery. In total, 2200 individual impulse responses were collected to accurately represent this magnificent space. Besides the three main mics, two more were positioned to the left and right side of each aisle, as well as one more in the rear. This allows you to use the Steinhofkirche in Vienna MIR PRO from each side of the main mics, letting you put a real surround ensemble into place. Plus, instruments can also be placed near the gilded pulpit to the left of the altar. This area makes a great spot for any solo performances. All together, RoomPack 3 offers over 4200 individual impulse responses from the two churches. And, although multiple setups and rooms were used, RoomPack 3 captures a homogeneous sound for all the main microphone polarity patterns used. This is due to improved multichannel mixing technologies. Plus, since Ambisonics treats sounds arriving from every direction equally, RoomPack 3 features a relative volume between all main microphones in both venues. This makes it even easier to switch venues while working on a MIR project. There's also more consistency in the dry signal level scaling. For enhanced flexibility, RoomPack 3 even features novel starting point-settings for both venues. - Vienna MIR PRO compatibility
