Product description The Vinten 3D Wedge Adapter provides proper balancing of under/through beamsplitter 3D rigs when used on Vinten pan and tilt heads. This wedge goes between the tripod head and the 3D rig, allowing the head to be tilted slightly forward while keeping the rig on a level plane.
In this configuration the head's position level is offset by a few degrees which in turn produces a back-torque that shifts the payload's center of gravity forward of the tilt axis for smooth and stable control while panning. At the same time it yields greater clearance for the under-slung camera which means more room for tilting the rig forward. A quick release lever facilitates easy detachment of the rig together with the wedge assembly from the tripod head. - Balances rigs which cannot be mounted to a conventional head in a balanced position due to physical restrictions
