• Vision 250E Fluid Head with Optical Encoders The Vinten Vision 250E Fluid Head adds optical encoders to the Vision 250 fluid head. The optical encoders allow the head to precisely monitor and communicate in real time the precise positioning of the pan and tilt mechanisms along their axes. Knowing the exact positioning makes precise camera movements repeatable with greater accuracy. The encoders transmit their data via a 19-pin Fischer port. The Vision 250E can hold cameras weighing from 22 to 73 pounds and has an electronically adjustable counterbalance control for precise setup without the difficulty of balancing a manual system when approaching the weight limit. Drag controls and the bubble level on the head are illuminated for increased visibility in dimly-lit situations. Vinten's TF (Thin-Film) Drag is incorporated into the Vision 250E. TF Drag is a fully calibrated drag system, allowing camera operators to 'dial in' their preferred settings whether they be for critical slow pans with long lenses or fast-moving sports. The whip-pan facility is unaffected by the pan drag setting.
• 3219-91 Telescopic Pan Bar with Clamp (Black) The Vinten 3219-91 Telescopic Pan Bar with Clamp, in black, is compatible with Vinten Vision 8AS/10AS and Vision 100/250 fluid heads.
• Head Processing Module (HPM) The Vinten Head Processing Module (HPM) has been designed to integrate with Vector 950E or Vision 250E pan and tilt heads, Canon and Fujinon lenses, and the Quattro-SE pedestal, coordinating encoder output from all axes for virtual reality (VR) applications. The HPM mounts directly to the Vinten 'E' pan and tilt head, receiving power and a Genlock signal from a studio source, and supplying power, ethernet, and Genlock signals to the Quattro-SE pedestal while outputting VR data to the studio.
  Lens Feedback
  • Canon and Fujinon lenses (with encoder output) and externally mounted Vinten lens encoders are supported by the HPM to coordinate VR software with lens movements.
  Vinten PDA
  • The HPM is configured using the Vinten Radamec PDA, which not only formats communication settings with the VR system, but also calibrates the connected Vinten 'E' pan and tilt head and Quattro-SE pedestal.
