Product description The 240GB Go Drive Low Profile 7mm Opal 1.0 Encryption Ready SSD from VisionTek is used to store and backup data in PC, Mac, Notebook, and Ultrabook computers. The drive is fully compliant with the rigorous Opal 1.0 specifications established by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) so data will remain secure in the event of computer theft or loss. Being Opal 1.0 secure encrypted ensures the Go Drive complies with government and corporate data security requirements. As Opal 1.0 utilizes the AES 128-bit hardware encryption built-into the Go Drive's controller, there's no speed reduction like that found on a non-secure drive utilizing a software-based encryption application - DuraWrite extends the drive endurance by 20x or more compared to standard SSD controllers
