Product description The 480GB mSATA TAA Compliant Solid State Drive from VisionTek is suitable for saving data on notebook and Ultrabook computers, tablets, and desktop machine motherboards with an onboard mSATA port.This portable, low-power storage solution is 1/8th the size of a traditional 2.5" hard disk drive (HDD). The drive incorporates DuraClass technology that delivers data rates up to 540Mb/s, up to 100x greater data reliability than an Enterprise class HDD, and access times up to 50x faster than a conventional HDD. It is SATA 6G ready, but backward compatible with SATA 3G and 1.5G machines too, making the drive a versatile storage performance booster for a wide variety of devices.Ideal for Ultrabook PCs, the drive can also be mounted directly to an mSATA interface equipped desktop PC motherboard. Now, instead of using up a drive bay for a 2.5" SSD and having to buy an adapter, you can easily add this SSD as a performance-boosting cache drive to complement a large storage capacity HDD. - Silent, cool, energy efficient operation
