Product description The MGW D265 Portable HEVC & H.264 IP Decoder from Vitec is a high-performance IP decoding appliance with support for HEVC/H.265 compression technology. With HEVC, applications can benefit from up to 40% savings in network bandwidth. Combined with the low latency streaming capabilities of VITEC's MGW Encoding and Streaming Platforms, the MGW D265 offers low latency decoding of HD and SD streams with end-to-end latency of 400 ms. The MGW D265 offers various video output interfaces including HD-SDI, SD-SDI, and HDMI, with either embedded audio or separate analog audio. The built-in scaler offers simultaneous play out of HD and a downscaled SD copy of decoded video. With backward compatibility for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 H.264 IP streams, the MGW D265 is suitable for any IPTV and Full-Motion-Video application. The MGW D265 appliance features a rugged portable design suitable for field use or stationary applications. The optional rack mount kit secures two units side by side in one standard 19" rack unit.
