Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Vixen Optics designed and built the 8x42 Atrek II DCF Binocular with fully multi-coated front and rear lenses to limit light loss and increase light transmission which ensures the maximum amount of light exits into the user's eyes. This translates to bright and clear high-contrast images with improved color rendition. Next are compact BAK4 roof prisms that are coated with multiple layers of proprietary phase-correcting and high-reflectivity optical coatings to properly control and align the incoming light and limit internal light scattering, further improving color and contrast. These features, when combined with a wide angle of view, short close-focus distance, and long eye relief, produce an optic ideal for general-purpose use from dawn to dusk. - Performance
