Product description With its easy setup and use, the Vixen Optics A70Lf 70mm f/13 ACHRO Refractor AZ Telescope presents new users with a complete observational platform for viewing astronomical and terrestrial objects of interest. Outfitted with an achromatic lens configuration in a refractor-style light path and with multi-coated optics, images are crisp and sharp with little color fringing or distortion and with accurate color in high contrast. An ideal choice for astrophotography, the rack-and-pinion focuser drawtube comes with a 1.25" eyepiece holder and standard T-threads to accept optional camera-specific T-rings for prime-focus techniques.Supporting the optical tube assembly (OTA) is the highly portable and versatile Porta II alt-azimuth mount. Built with a friction control system, there are no clumsy axis locks or clutches to manipulate, so the mount can be easily moved by hand for fast navigation. For more precise movement, the mount has dual-axis slow-motion cables that allow for easy tracking without vibrations. The mount comes with an aluminum tripod that adjusts from 35 to 51" to accommodate a wide variety of users and viewing positions, with a center tray that adds stability to the legs while offering a place for eyepieces, filters, and other accessories. Vixen includes two eyepieces that produce high and moderate magnifications, plus an erect-image diagonal that allows the scope to be used as a conventional spotting scope for nature and bird watching, or general terrestrial observations. - Optical Tube Assembly
