Product description Vixen Optics' Advanced Polaris Portable Set is comprised of their Dovetail Slide Bar PG, AP Clamp Mount Head Unit H, AP Polar Axis Bracket, and Mount Head Base. This combination of accessories allows you to mount and use the optional Polar Axis scope onto the AP mount. This set can be used as the Advanced Polaris Photo guider if it is used in combination with the optional R.A. Motor Module and Star Book One Set. - Dovetail Slide Bar PG Attach your camera onto the Vixen Optics Dovetail Slide Bar PGA using one of the three 1/4"-20 bolts, then mount the bar on a compatible 44mm Vixen-style saddle. This bar was primarily designed for use with the Advanced Polaris Photo Guider and AP Star Tracker, but will fit other mounts and saddles. An elongated hole in the center of the bar allows the camera to be balanced around the optional polar alignment scope.
- Advanced Polaris Clamp Mount Head Unit Vixen Optics' Advanced Polaris Clamp Mount Head Unit is designed to attach the dovetail slide bar or dovetail tube plate onto the AP mount. Its unique friction-control system allows users to move the OTA laterally by hand and it stays in position when released, and an included AP Clamp Lever securely fixes the scope at the desired position on the head. This AP Clamp Mount Head Unit is compatible with the AP Clamp Mount Head Unit, but not with the AP Photo Guider. The unit has a center hole for use with the polar alignment scope.
- Polar Axis Bracket for Advanced Polaris Mount Vixen Optics' Polar Axis Bracket is designed to attach their Advanced Polaris (AP) mount on a photo tripod and use it as a portable and compact equatorial mount. It features a standard 1/4"-20 mount screw, and the polar alignment scope mounting screw is sized at M34x0.75. Vixen's Polar Meter and the Polar Alignment Scope PF can be installed using this bracket as well.
- Mount Head Base for Advanced Polaris Mount Vixen Optic's Mount Head Base is an adapter that connects the Manual Slow Motion Control Module or DEC Motor Module with their Advanced Polaris Mount Head Unit or the AP Polar Axis Bracket and the Time-Lapse Adapter.
