Product description Engineered with a large aperture and fast focal ratio for exceptional visual and imaging performance, the Vixen Optics NA140SS Neo Achro 140mm f/6 Refractor Telescope is equipped with a 2-group/4-element achromatic lens that corrects chromatic and spherical aberration to limit color fringing, off-axis comas, halo effects, and distortion for sharper and clearer views with accurate color representation and zero astigmatism. Its rear field-flattener correcting lens produces a flat and even field of view for improved astrophotography images. To achieve tack-sharp images and split binary stars, Vixen outfitted the NA140SS with a fine and coarse dual speed focuser.For viewing or imaging, a versatile diagonal is provided. The diagonal has two eyepiece holders with an internal flip mirror to quickly and easily change the light path direction from the straight-through to the 90° position. Each eyepiece holder accepts 1.25" eyepieces to allow the use of different magnification eyepieces without having to change them; and the straight-through holder has threads for imaging system and adapters. When imaging, simply install an eyepiece in the 90° position and flip the mirror to check and correct tracking errors, or change subjects, between exposures - allowing the imaging system to remain on the straight-through position.This iteration of the NA140SS Neo Achro is offered here without a mount or tripod for users who already have a reliable support system. The included cradle ring assembly has a Vixen-style dovetail plate to make it compatible with a wide variety of alt-az, EQ, and GoTo mounts; and a circular clamp system enables it to be placed anywhere along the OTA length for proper balancing, and the orientation of the eyepiece/diagonal can be adjusted to avoid interference with the mount, other equipment, cords, and the mount. - Optical Tube Assembly
