Product description The StarGuy Alt-Az Pro Alt-Azimuth Mount from Vixen Optics combines superior stability and optimized motion control with the industry standard dovetail mounting system. Flexible slow-motion controls minimize vibration transmitted to the optical tube assembly (OTA), keeping the image in the eyepiece steady as you target and track celestial objects. Simply turn the altitude and azimuth control handles and precisely track planets, moons, constellations, and terrestrial objects as they move through your field of view.The StarGuy mount includes a rigid two-section tripod. The tripod legs are constructed from lightweight and durable aluminum, making this tripod portable yet sturdy enough to deliver steady images even with high-powered telescopes. The mount features 120-tooth wheel gears and a friction-control system for smooth tracking and alignment. - The mount head is easily detached for mounting to a heavier tripod.
- The slow-motion gear drive makes precise tracking as easy as turning the elevation and azimuth control handles.
