Product description The Vixen SX Dovetail Tube Plate serves two purposes: it allows you to mount your Vixen telescopes upon devices with a 1/4"-20 threaded screw if needed, and it allows Vixen telescopes to have better balance upon Vixen mounts (or Celestron Advanced or CG-5 mounts and the Meade LXD75 mount) then when using the standard #2661 standard dovetail plate.All of Vixen's tube rings can be directly fitted atop this plate. If you have an additional small finderscope, camera, or other device with 1/4"-20 threaded female socket which you want to use at the same time, you can mount Vixen's #3548 Tube Ring Accessory Plate on top of your tube rings to affix it. - ~20% longer than #2661 standard dovetail plate
