Product description Vortex Optics' 4-12x40 Diamondback Tactical Riflescope is a versatile riflescope featuring durable construction, high-quality optics, a zoom eyepiece, and the Vortex-exclusive VMR-1 reticle. The reticle lies in the 2nd focal plane and offers a modified duplex style. The markings on the horizontal and lower-vertical axes aid in ranging and ballistic and wind compensation. The optical system produces crisp and clear images with accurate color representation by utilizing Extra-Low Dispersion (XD) glass and Vortex's proprietary XR optical coatings. While the XD glass corrects color and image distortions on the periphery of the field of view, the anti-reflective XR coatings increase transmission of light and reduce glare.
The high-quality aluminum housing is built around a durable single-piece 1" maintube. One of the defining highlights of the Diamondback tactical scope is its Precision-glide erectir system that ensures that zooming action remains smooth under the most challenging conditions. The scope's windage and elevation provide exposed graduated turrets with red fiber optic position markers on the knobs. The entire construction is robust, nitrogen-filled fogproof, and O-ring sealed waterproof to ensure reliable performance for years of service. - VMR-1 Reticle
