Product description The VOX AC15CH is an amplifier head designed for electric guitars and provides that classic British tone used by everyone from the Beatles to Radiohead. With a full tube complement including an array of EL84 power tubes, the AC15 operates at 15W and is capable of achieving bell-like, chiming timbres, or lively, creamy overdrives.
Yes, the VOX AC15CH is a reissue of a classic amplifier. So what makes this iteration of the product different? One feature would be the Reactive Attenuator, found on the rear of the unit. It allows you to achieve the exact tone you want out of any corresponding cabinet—even at low levels more suitable for bedroom playing. This mechanism effectively reduces the wattage, giving you the ability to attain that creamy, overdriven sound, without bothering friends and family.
The amplifier provides two channels, one of which offers controls for volume, treble, and bass. Both channels feed the tremolo, reverb, and master section. This master section gives you a tone cut knob for overall timbre shaping, and a master volume knob. Each channel is fed by a 1/4" instrument jack.
The AC15CH head sports two 1/4" speaker jacks as well as an input for the optional, separately-available VFS2 footswitch. You can select between 8 and 16 Ohms to meet the needs of numerous cabinets.
