Product description Designed for use with electric guitars, the AC15VR Valve Reactor from Vox is a 15W RMS combo amplifier sporting a 1x12" cabinet comprised of Celestion speakers. The amp also boasts Vox's proprietary Valve Reactor technology, a hybrid combination of tube and solid-state components. The preamp stage, in particular, utilizes discrete transistors and integrated op-amps for sound generation and signal management, whereas the power-amp stage features a single 12AX7 tube. The aim is to bring both modern and vintage Vox tones to your arsenal.
The AC15VR features two channels: a Normal channel, for clean tone and vintage-style distortion, and an Overdrive channel for bluesy leads and modern grit. Both channels are filtered through Treble, Bass, and tone-cut knobs for tone shaping. Switching between each channel can be accomplished via the VFS2 dual footswitch (available separately). The amp also offers a built-in digital reverb, which can be toggled from the footswitch.
Turn your attention to the back of the amplifier, and you'll see a 1/4" extension jack for powering an extra 15W, 8-Ohm speaker as well as a 1/4" footswitch input. Please note that connecting an external speaker mutes the connection to the Celestion speaker provided.
