Product description Designed to impart that classic VOX tube tone upon your electric guitar, the AC4HW1 is a 4W RMS combo amplifier sporting a 12" Celestion G12M Greenback speaker. The unit boasts tube-driven preamp and power-amp stages, as well as two input jacks—high and low. Also, each element of the turret board has been hand-wired to ensure the most efficient signal path.
For EQ, the AC4HW1 offers controls for Bass, Treble, and a Hot/Cool switch—a handy feature which partially bypasses the tone controls to provide more gain and a purer signal path. As this Hot/Cool switch can be toggled via an independent footswitch, this feature can be utilized to give you some more juice for lead parts and soloing.
Turn your attention to the back of the amplifier and you'll see an external output jack wired for 16 Ohms. You'll also notice a footswitch input which allows you to control the Hot/Cool switch with the tap of your toes. The footswitch, a power cable, and a dust cover are included with your purchase.
